(Gainesville,Ga) Every year Tri Delta hosts the DDD Dance Off in Pearce Auditorium in support of their philanthropy, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Tri Delta has partnered with St. Jude since 1999, and are nationally working towards a goal of raising 60 million dollars in ten years. This year four sororities competed to win the title of best dance routine at the competition.
This year, the show opened with the host participating in a Greek unity dance with a few members from each National Panhellenic Council (NPC) sorority on campus. Along with the opening number, the Brenau University Step Team “Echo Squad,” and Dance Team Tau Sigma performed.
Also in attendance were some members of the local Boys and Girls club. They helped with raffles, and at also had the opportunity to dance to a few songs during intermission.
Zeta Tau Alpha received 1st place for the evening. Alpha Chi Omega came in 2nd place. Overall, the evening is about raising awareness about the efforts that go into running St. Jude everyday. This is also a great event because, it helps promote Greek Unity on our campus.
