Much Ado About Godspell

March 7, 2017 By Cassidy Collier Leave a Comment

(Gainesville, Ga) The Gainesville Theatre Alliance (GTA) opened both “Much Ado About Nothing” as well as “Godspell” on February 14th. Both shows ended on February 25th.

“Much Ado About Nothing” opened at the Ed Cabell Theatre at the University of North Georgia Campus in Oakwood. Meanwhile, “Godspell”  opened at the John S. Burd Center on the historic Brenau Campus in Gainesville. Both shows had exciting opening nights with their talented actors, actresses, and patrons.

Freshman Musical Theatre major, Lauren Hill, who plays in the GTA production of “Godspell” stated “I get to spend every night in this show celebrating Jesus and I think that is the coolest.” Last semester, Hill starred in GTA’s production of Beauty in the Beast, playing the lead role of Belle.

Junior, Hannah Vigil-Shuck, attended a show of “Much Ado About Nothing” and only had the highest praise to offer. Vigil-Shuck commented, “This is an amazing production pulled together by some of the most hard-working and amazing people I have ever met. It is unreal what these actors and actresses are capable of.”

For information about tickets for both of the shows, please visit www.gainesvilleTHEATREalliance.org or call the Box Office at 678.717.3624 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
