Haley Bartoletta

Haley Bartoletta is a Mass Communications major and Political Science minor from Jefferson, Ga. She is also a member of the Brenau University Swim Team (which occupies practically all of her free time). In the time that isn’t spent at the pool, Haley is usually finishing up homework of some sort. Since she was a little girl, she had had a dream of being a broadcaster. She likes to think of college as her opportunity to make this dream a reality. While Haley loves to write, she also has a big thing for public speaking. This is something that has typically always come easy to her, which is probably why she wishes to pursue a career where this is so important. After college, Haley hopes to begin working on her graduate degree, as well as get her foot in the door with a major news corporation.

Destiny Clay

Destiny Clay is a 20 year college student from America. She is an aspiring film editor who loves to do anything behind the scenes of film but lately, she has also grown an interest in voice acting and graphic design. Outside of school, Destiny likes to attend concerts and I enjoy writing about her experiences. She have been a Kpop stan since late September of 2016 when she discovered BLACKPINK. Ever since then, Destiny has been introduced too many more groups and have grown to love a variety of groups. Other than her experiences, her blog will also include Kpop reviews. These reviews will be based on the song / album, music video and live performances. Destiny has a new reaction YouTube channel up and running, so if there is a group review you are looking for and it is not on her blog, you can possibly find it on her YouTube channel. She hopes you enjoy the content she will bring.

Celine Vega

Celine is a senior mass communication major from Orlando, FL. Originally, she was an exercise sports science major at the University of South Carolina-Aiken for both her freshman and sophomore year. When she transferred for her junior year to Brenau she decided to change her major to mass communications. Celine is on the women’s basketball team here at the university. Basketball is a major passion of Celine’s, so she looks forward to pursuing a career in college coaching upon graduation. In her spare time, she loves to create basketball highlight videos and take sports focused photographs.

Adrianna Rivera-Velazquez

Adrianna Rivera-Velazquez is a Mass Communications major from Caguas, Puerto Rico. While her concentration is in digital technology, she write for The Alchemist in order to improve her writing and to contribute to the Brenau community. The topics she covers are about culture and current events. She’s recently studied abroad in South Korea and is looking forward to writing about her experiences.

About US

We take special pride in The Alchemist. The student ran newspaper was the first publication distributed on the campus of Brenau University. The Alchemist went viral in Fall 2006. It has been over 100 years since the first article was printed, and has since evolved into the prominent platform for students to leave a legacy through their writing.
