No Break for Fall Sports

By: Sydney Koon

There are several sports that are required to stay on campus and continue playing during the Fall Break. Although fall break at Brenau University only consists of two days, many athletes are upset that they are not getting a break at all.

Cross country, soccer, swimming, and volleyball were the four sports asked to stay on campus by their coaches. The teams had practice and some had games. Having two days off from school was not enough. The players wanted a break from their sport and school as well.

However, many of the athletes I have talked to are forgetting that there is a more significant break in the spring that they get to be a part of, Spring Break. The spring sports will not get that privilege.

Although staying on campus is not ideal for the fall athletes, it is a better deal than the spring sports, in my opinion.
