(Gainesville, GA.) On Friday April 23, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. Brenau University Vocal Performance Major Anna-Marie Jordan completed the final performance of her undergraduate career, her Senior Recital. In the John S. Burd Atrium, the setting included arena-like seating surrounding a small stage that Jordan shared with her accompanying pianist, Ben Leaptrott. The soprano singer featured eight uniquely arranged melodies which flaunted the best capabilities of her vocal range.
Anna-Marie’s performance was truly one for the books, as she sang her eight songs with conviction and passion for her audience. The soon to be graduate was also accompanied in three pieces by Dannin Duncan, Portia Burns and the Brenau University Gospel Choir. Needless to say, Jordan’s voice exercised precision, and clarity as she carried the crowd through each note and word. Following her performance was a small reception, provided by Jordan’s family, to celebrate the completion of her undergraduate fulfillments. Brenau University cannot wait to see what this wonderful singer has next for her after graduation.
