Greek Week

BY: Andi Eckardt (Gainesville, GA)
This week was Greek Week for the Brenau Greek community. Greek Council arranged a wonderful week full of togas and artistry. The week began with a Banner competition in which Phi Mu took first place. Then, to support our music program, then entire Greek community attended the Gospel Choir concert. We then participated in a chalk art competition, where the Greeks had the chance to show off their artistic skills with a drawing that exemplified Greek unity. Thursday, we indulged in our school-wide love for Chick-Fil-A to attend the Greek Week Dine-Out. The sorority with the most attendance had the proceeds from all of the orders collected in the hours of 5-8pm donated to their Philanthropy. The winner of Dine-Out attendance went to Alpha Delta Pi. Thursday was the Toga Party! Members of the Greek Community strutted their stuff in their hand-made togas in the fashion show and enjoyed karaoke. Friday topped the week off with Greek Gala and the Greek Goddess competition. Tri-Delta’s Eline Nagels took the honor of Greek Goddess. Congratulations to each and every sorority this week and the best of luck for next year.

About US

We take special pride in The Alchemist. The student ran newspaper was the first publication distributed on the campus of Brenau University. The Alchemist went viral in Fall 2006. It has been over 100 years since the first article was printed, and has since evolved into the prominent platform for students to leave a legacy through their writing.
