(Gainesville, GA)- Famous for her abusive relationship with hip-hop artist, Chris Brown, that almost landed him behind bars and risque songs such as her overtly sexual single “S&M”, pop star Rihanna seems to be taking her appreciation for bondage to a whole new level.
Two men in Thailand were arrested for possession of protected animals just one day after the singer released an Instagram photo of herself with a primate on her shoulders.
While taking a vacation in Thailand from her Diamonds World Tour, Rihanna innocently paid to have her picture taken with the primate. Little did she know, this creature, called a slow loris, is a precious gem on the protected species list.
The exotic animal smugglers, a 20-year old and a 16-year old, may face up to four years in prison and a $1,300 fine for exploiting the endangered species.
Although she is involved in yet another scandal, Rihanna continues to be commended for being an accidental animal activist. Receiving over 200,000 “likes” from around the world on the Instagram photo, she has unintentionally managed to bring attention to these rare bug-eyed creatures and personally saved two of them from being further exploited.
