NBC News reported on October 23, 2013 a math teacher was found dead in the woods outside her Massachusetts high school.
The body of the teacher, identified as Colleen Ritzer, only 24 years old, was found just after midnight. Blood was found in a second-floor bathroom at the school. Authorities said the murder investigation is being connected with a search for a missing 14-year old boy, the day before. The authorities would not discuss a motive, or how the teacher was killed.
Ritzer was loved by many students. She usually posted messages on her twitter reminding students about upcoming homework assignments and links to help with geometry. Before she was murdered Ritzer posted the message “find something good in every day” onto her twitter page.
Students responded on twitter with their favorite moments and memories with Ritzer. One student posted “she was the sweetest, most harmless person ever. She always wanted to help.”
