(Gainesville, GA) This past weekend, Brenau University held its annual “Winter Weekend.” “Winter Weekend” is a time for prospective students to come visit the school to show them what Brenau is all about!
The weekend began on Saturday morning when all the girls arrived. They attended several meetings and seminars then finally set off to their assigned sorority house. Each house had about 20-30 girls. They quickly made friends with the current students of Brenau and then everyone met in Hopkins Dining hall for dinner.
Right after dinner, the Brenau Ideal Scholarship Competition was underway! Everyone packed into Pearce Auditorium to watch the three finalists present their talents. The winners of each category were awarded and the competition concluded.
After the competition, The University held a “Winter Luau” in the gym. All the girls attended to play badminton, volleyball, hula-hoop, make bracelets, take pictures, and enjoy a chocolate fountain with fruit.
The next morning all the girls had breakfast in the dining hall and then had to head back home! All the prospective girls were said to have an awesome time!
