(Gainesville, GA)The snow came down hard between February 11th and 12th. All across northeast Georgia, businesses, schools, and towns were closed down because of this most recent snowstorm. According to CNN.com, the National Weather Service predicted 60-80% chance of rain Monday night through Wednesday in Atlanta. This storm was a test because the last snow Georgia had, 2.5 inches of snow shut down the city of Atlanta, causing people to be on the road for at least 10 hours. Even though the snow did not start until Monday night, because of what happened the last snow, schools were announcing their plans as early as Monday morning. Most of Northeast Georgia shut down from Tuesday until Thursday because of the snow that we had this past week. Because of the snow this year and the mayhem that occurred with the first snow of this year, Gov. Nathan Deal now is conducting a plan to deal with the future snows of Georgia.
