(Gainesville, Ga.) A local Flowery Branch boy, 6-year-old Anderson Lyons, is looking for local people to play with him to help with his diagnosis of autism. Autism is a mental condition characterized by difficulty in communication and forming relationships with other people and in using language and abstract concepts. Anderson’s parents want people to come to their home to play with Anderson to get him used to interacting with other people. If the same person were to come over and play with him all of the time, he would get used to a routine, so when he does have to interact with new people, he becomes prepared or used to interacting with new people.
I had the pleasure of playing with Anderson and he is such a sweet boy. He is very smart and knows his numbers very well. He loves to draw and write and play games. If you are interested in playing with Anderson, please call his mother Elizabeth at 770-312-4230
