(Gainesville, GA) – Sorority recruitment is the one time of the year that all girls dream about as they make their way into college and it’s no different at Brenau.

Every girl grows up and sees how amazing being a part of a group like a sorority really is. As freshmen begin arriving on campus, every sorority begins looking at any girl as a potential new member (PNM), and the new girls on campus start to think about where they want to go.

Bid Day is one of the best days of your college experience, however, from the inside of recruitment, it can become very stressful. A fellow member of Phi Mu shared that no matter how much fun recruitment is, everyone can become extremely stressed.

“This is due to getting everything ready for the big day, and also looking for new people to add to our home,” she said.

Come Saturday, Sept. 13, Brenau hopes to add over fifty new sorority members to the Greek system.

As a whole, the Greek community wants nothing more that to make sure everyone finds their home.

What does it mean to be Greek?  “It means you’ll never be alone,” expressed Pam Konken, member of Zeta Tau Alpha.

Konken stated that going Greek and going ZTA was the best decision she has ever made she would never give it up.

Greek life here at Brenau University is a major role in everyday life, whether it means having a place to go and be yourself or having people who are there to support you.

This is why recruitment is such a huge part of the school year. It is not something to do just through four years of college, but it’s for life.
