Country’s Bad Girls and Their Big News

(Gainesville, Ga.) – Gorgeous country singers, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, are having a year to remember. This summer their rockin’ country hit “Somethin’ Bad” landed number one on the Billboard’s Hot Country Songs, the first two woman duet to make it on top in 20 years.

The hit song makes Lambert’s fifth number one on the chart and Underwood’s thirteenth number one on the chart. This awesome song is seen as a female take on the bro-country genre and is definitely a girl-power anthem.

Though they had a successful hit song, even greater news is currently bringing them happiness.

After four years of marriage, American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood, and her NHL husband, Mike Fisher, announced on Sept. 1 that they are expecting their first child in Spring 2015.

The country star posted a picture via Instagram of her two dogs wearing “I’m going to be a big sister” and “big brother” outfits in her lap with the caption, “In honor of Labor Day, Ace and Penny would like to make an announcement. Underwood has pretty much cleared her calendar for her first two trimesters, at least when it comes to traveling. She only has three festival dates scheduled for the rest of this year. She is, however, busy working on a new album – the follow up to 2012’s platinum-selling Blown Away.

Rumors have surfaced this past month that Miranda and fellow country star husband, Blake Shelton, are expecting their first child after two years of marriage. Hollywood Life magazine interviewed a family friend who stated that the country couple are keeping any baby news a complete secret right now but everything is pointing towards Miranda being pregnant.

Miranda was quick to congratulate her best gal pal via Twitter, even referencing Underwood’s nickname from their hit “Somethin’ Bad.” She wrote, “Big congrats to my friend @carrieunderwood (a.k.a Louise) on her big news!!!! So happy for her and Mike!”

All country fans are very excited about this Country Sweetheart’s big news. Now, they are just patiently awaiting the announcement about her partner in crime. Hopefully, it is not a rumor.
