“I love Brenau because it’s impossible for a student to not become involved. As a shy, reserved person, I never tried to draw attention to myself. Being a commuter student, I thought it would be easy to go to class and go home without becoming entangled in events and organizations. Despite all that, it happened. I became more involved than I ever planned to, but more importantly, more than I ever thought I was capable of doing.
Becoming student manager of the radio station, a tutor at the writing center, and a participant in various media practicums, has allowed me to grow into a leader. I have developed skills that help me feel confident to take on new challenges. I have a better sense of the direction for my life after school as well. It’s all because of what I learned at Brenau.
Everyone at Brenau is involved in some sort of extra-curricular activity. The enthusiasm and pride that students have in their work is infectious. We are all inspired by each other and sincerely enthusiastic when we celebrate each other’s accomplishments. Brenau is a positive along with supportive environment where students can grow into the best versions of themselves. I love Brenau because as a community we transform right alongside each other.”
