Women’s History Month Spotlight: Hillary Clinton Partners with Spotify

March 14, 2016 By Brenau Student Leave a Comment

(Gainesville, GA.) Women’s History Month has started off with quite a bang as women ranging from all ages have started to celebrate in abundance. Acts that have been taken in support of this month have been shown through social media filters on Snapchat, Instagram posts from Kim Kardashian celebrating the female body and playlists created by our very own 2016 Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

According to Cosmopolitan, Hillary Clinton created a Women’s History Month inspired playlist on Spotify. The song list is proud to include hits like: “No Scrubs” by TLC, “Run the World” by Beyonce’, “Express Yourself” by Madonna and “Girl on Fire” by Alicia Keys and Nicki Minaj. These songs are only a few of the female only artists featured on the playlist.

Clinton describes her addition to Spotify as, “A soundtrack for smashing glass ceilings” and what woman wouldn’t want to hear a lineup of music with that level of motivation?!
