(Gainesville, GA) Now that we finally have a good weather, Brenau took advantage by throwing a concert starring Cory Cleveland and Southern Soul in the amphitheater this past Saturday, April 23. They are known for their country songs and southern rock music that can keep you jamming all day long. Cory Cleveland and Southern Soul’s band consists of: Cory Cleveland on acoustic guitar and lead vocals, Brian Pruett on lead electric guitar, Greg Merritt as the lead bass guitarists, Tim Harkrider as a bass guitar and John Ladshaw on drums and backup vocals. Some of their songs include: Georgia Peach Moonshine, Mine All Mine, Driving Me Crazy Again, Love Wasted, and Foggy Holler.

Their songs were upbeat and kept the attention of the audience. The band came to perform while the Brenau cafeteria catered black bean burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, mac and cheese and coleslaw for lunch. Brenau also welcomed incoming freshman to the campus to eat food and listen to Cory Cleveland and Southern Soul put on a show. The band members were exciting, and interactive with the crowd. The atmosphere was welcoming for the incoming freshman.
