Greetings to all of you readers of the Alchemist!

I am super excited to be the Editor-in-Chief of the Alchemist again this year. The staff worked really hard to update our newspaper last year and to offer a refreshed perspective on news, campus events, sports and all of our additional featured columns. I believe that we will bring that same amount of exhilaration and spunk within our articles and topics this academic school year! Please encourage any of writers if you happen to see them in action.

Be sure to follow us on Facebook for updates. Support us by sharing our content on your social media sites as well as engaging in the conversations that these articles ignite! All of our writers serve as a piece of the motor that allows this publication to continue. I would like to thank all of the faculty and staff at the John W. Jacobs business & Mass Communications building for allowing us to operate out of their building, as well as providing us with continuous support. We promise to deliver you the news the best way we know how this year. I look forward to serving you all through the Alchemist again this year.

Sincerely,

Nicole Vernon

About US

We take special pride in The Alchemist. The student ran newspaper was the first publication distributed on the campus of Brenau University. The Alchemist went viral in Fall 2006. It has been over 100 years since the first article was printed, and has since evolved into the prominent platform for students to leave a legacy through their writing.
