(Gainesville, Ga.) Freshman soccer star, Alexis Satterfield scored her first collegiate goal for the Golden Tigers in the lead up to conference play. Brenau defeated Bryan College 2-0, to put their record to 4-3.
Positioned as a forward, Satterfield has featured in all seven games as a freshman at Brenau and already has one goal and three assists to her name. Experiencing such success in this early season is a mere reflection of her high school soccer career; the Lumpkin County forward scored a staggering 32 goals and four assists as a junior in 2014, before ending her senior year with 29 goals and 5 assists. Satterfield earned the BLITZ Player of the Year award for both 2014 and 2015.
After receiving her first start for the Golden Tigers, Satterfield will now push to earn her spot in the starting 11 and build on her current goal tally. Brenau opens up their conference play against Middle Georgia State College on Thursday Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. It will be held at Allen Creek Soccer Complex in Gainesville, Ga., home of the Golden Tigers. Good luck for the season, Alexis!
