As we all know, it is pretty much an impossible task to predict the weather—especially here in the south. Just when we think the fall weather is approaching, we are slapped in the face by the beaming sun and Fahrenheit temperatures ranging in the 80’s. Although we now have hot days and cool nights, we must take into consideration that fall is coming and it is time to pack up the crop tops and flip flops and pull out the UGG boots and sweaters.
This fall, consider layers. Layers are always a smart go to because if you are hit with a warm day you can take off a jacket or pullover and remain comfortable. If you are out and about and time takes you into those cooler nights, then you will always have a jacket handy. I personally always get yelled at by my mom for wearing dark colors year around. Fall is my favorite time of the year where I can wear blacks, browns and dark reds without someone thinking my wardrobe is out of season. I personally enjoy fall weather more than any other time of the year but here are a few things we shouldn’t do during this season of giving and thankfulness:
DON’T be afraid to wear over-sized clothing. Just like in the 90’s, the baggy clothes are back in style. Be sure to have balance with over-sized clothes such as tights and big sweater, or baggy jeans and a fitted sweater. Accessorizing will make a big difference here.
DON’T wear less clothing. As we get closer to the winter months the more you continue to wear shorts and crop tops, the more foolish you look. You don’t want a cold this season so make sure you take weather precautions to protect your body.
DON’T be afraid to mix and match. Mix up your colors and outfits to add flavor on your style.
After all swag is what you make it and the confidence behind the outfit. Have fun mixing it up this fall as we prepare for the unpredictable weather.
