Gainesville Theatre Alliance Spring Shows

(Gainesville, Ga) The Gainesville Theatre Alliance (GTA) are performing several shows this spring semester. GTA will be performing Godspell, a musical describing the life of Jesus, from Tuesday, February 14th through Saturday, February 25th at Hosch Theatre in the Burd Center. Ticket prices are $24-$26 for adults, $22-$24 for seniors and $14-$16 for students.

The play, Much Ado About Nothing, will be held at the University of North Georgia’s Ed Cabell Theatre from Tuesday, February 14th through Saturday, February 25th. Much Ado about Nothing is a Shakespearean comedic play featuring the characters Beatrice, Benedick, Hero and Claudio as they try to deal with love, tragedy, and infidelity. Tickets are $18-$20 for adults, $16-$18 for seniors and $12-$14 for students.  

GTA’s last show of the semester is Peter and the Starcatcher, which will be performed at the University of North Georgia’s Ed Cabell Theatre from Tuesday, April 11th through Saturday, April 22nd. The show follows the story of Molly, a Starcatcher in training, who meets an orphan boy named Peter and goes on magical adventures together. Tickets for adults are $18-$20, seniors $16-$18 and student tickets are $12-$14.

GTA holds free backstage tours of the set. GTA will be holding a stage tour for Godspell on January 31st on 6p.m., Much Ado About Nothing on February 2nd at 6p.m.,  and Peter and the Starcatcher on March 28th at 6p.m.

It has been over 100 years since the first article was printed, and has since evolved into the prominent platform for students to leave a legacy through their writing.
