Brenau is typically chalked full of events at every moment of the day. In the next few weeks, there will be plenty of performances and Brenau traditions to join and be a part of!
The Gainesville Theatre Alliance will be performing two shows this semester, Peter and the Starcatcher and The Raven and the Nightingale. Peter and the Starcatcher will take the audience back to Neverland before Peter Pan became the Boy Who Didn’t Grow Up. Show dates are from April 11-15th and 18-22nd starting at 7:30p.m., and again on April 16th and April 22nd at 2:30p.m. The show will be held at the Ed Cabell Theatre at the University of North Georgia. Tickets are $18/$20 for adults, $16/$18 for seniors and $12/$14 for students. The Raven and the Nightingale tells the story of Cassandra, a prophetess of Troy, who was gifted with the ability to see the future but no one believed her. It follows her story as she tries to navigate her visions and deal with the ghost of her brother. The show will be held at Brenau University’s Theatre on the Square located inside the Brenau Downtown Center and will be shown from April 6th through April 9th. May Day and Alumnae Reunion Weekend will be held on Friday, April 7th and Saturday, April 8th. There are several events for Alumnae happening both days so if you have not already, register your spot and grab some sweet Brenau swag while you’re at it!
