There comes a time where you have to start a new chapter of your life. Nikki Carter is getting ready to open a new door of opportunity.
Carter is a senior Health Science: Pre-Occupational Therapy major from Canton, GA. The first thing she is looking forward to after graduation is getting a job in occupational therapy, so she has her foot in the door after grad school. Her dream career is to be an occupational therapist at the Marcus Autism Institute.
When talking about her memories at Brenau, Carter says, “My favorite Brenau memory is the Gold Refined by Fire ceremony my freshman year. I set goals for myself that I later accomplished and I learned to love my school a little bit more. She has learned how to lean on her people in times of need. Carter says “This was hard for me because I am such an independent person, but I learned that you can only get through the sad and hard times if you lean on your friends.”
She advises her underclassman to get involved on campus while being aware that taking on too much can be overwhelming. She also says it is important to know how to say no.
Carter’s dream vacation is to take a trip to London and take a picture on Abbey Road, like The Beatles album cover.
Good luck to all seniors while their time at Brenau is coming to an end. No matter how the semester concludes, it doesn’t take away from the hard work they put into their college careers.
