The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way everyone is living their daily lives. Due to the pandemic, people are suggested to stay at home in quarantine, practice social distancing, and avoid as much interaction with others as possible. However, this does not interrupt staying mentally and physically active. Below are 5 ways one can stay active while being in the house.

Senior Profile: Nikki Carter

Carter is a senior Health Science: Pre-Occupational Therapy major from Canton, GA. The first thing she is looking forward to after graduation is getting a job in occupational therapy, so she has her foot in the door after grad school. Her dream career is to be an occupational therapist at the Marcus Autism Institute.

Student Athletes vs. COVID-19

All athletic season have been cut short. Not just for Brenau, but for all NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics), NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association), and NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association). This means that any athletes that just started playing or haven’t played yet lose that athletic season.

Senior Profile: Madison Zaferatos

It is common for people to transfer in and out of a school, but for Madison Zaferatos she has been a dedicated Brenau student for four complete years. Zaferatos is a Biology major from Advance, North Carolina. The first thing she wants to do after she graduates is to go to PA school with dreams of being a Neurosurgeon.

COVID-19: Through The Eyes of Boomers

However, there seems to be little coverage on Corona through the eyes of Boomers, so here are the thoughts and experiences of 5 Boomers.

We take special pride in The Alchemist. The student ran newspaper was the first publication distributed on the campus of Brenau University. The Alchemist went viral in Fall 2006. It has been over 100 years since the first article was printed, and has since evolved into the prominent platform for students to leave a legacy through their writing.
