The Alchemist: A Legacy Renewed

September 16, 2024 By Sydney Hencil 1 Comment

Welcome back to another exciting year at Brenau University! As Brenau turns 146 years old, we’ve decided to combine our rich history with innovation to bring you the latest edition of The Alchemist.

This year, we are going beyond tradition. As we celebrate over 100 years of continuous publication, The Alchemist is expanding its reach—not just within Brenau, but into the Gainesville community as well. We’re excited to bring together voices from across our city, bringing a wider variety of stories and perspectives to our pages.

We’re stepping into the future with multimedia. The Alchemist is not only a newspaper—but now a platform that offers dynamic storytelling through various forms of media. Whether you prefer to read, listen, or watch, we have something for everyone.

Here’s to another year of growth, storytelling, and making history.

The Alchemist—your story, your voice.

About US

We take special pride in The Alchemist. The student ran newspaper was the first publication distributed on the campus of Brenau University. The Alchemist went viral in Fall 2006. It has been over 100 years since the first article was printed, and has since evolved into the prominent platform for students to leave a legacy through their writing.
