Taylor Swift, the American singer-songwriter often described as “America’s sweetheart,” continues to land slots on the Billboard’s top 100 list with the release of songs from her fourth album. Swift’s latest album, Red, is set to release on October 22nd. As with each of her albums, America’s sweetheart previews a new song each week leading up to the release of the entire album, building anticipation in her very dedicated fan base.

The hit “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” came after the announcement of her new album in a Google+ hangout on August 16th, 2012. The song quickly climbed the charts and became Swift’s first number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, recording the highest ever one-week sales for a female artist. Not too bad for her

“Begin Again,” “Red,” and “I Knew You Were Trouble.,” followed the release of her first hit. The title track of her new album, “Red,” follows the pop-crossover “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together,” ranked #2 on the Billboard list. “Begin Again,” a slower track released September 25th, is ranked 10th on the Hot Country Songs list.

Swift previously informed fans that Red is a compilation of her semi-toxic relationships, which include feelings of jealousy, intense love and frustration. Her new album will feature thirteen songs, ten of which she wrote on her own. Three additional tracks will be released on her deluxe version, sold exclusively at Target stores.
