Over the last year I will be the first to admit that when ever I hear the words “One

Direction” or anything relatively close to the British boy band, I stop everything a look for

the lads. No, I am not a 10 year old fangirl, I am a 21 year old college senior who just so

happened to fall under their spell.

One Direction came onto the scene back in 2010 while contestants on the

popular British talent competition called the X-Factor. Harry, Liam, Louis, Niall and Zayn

were chosen to be put together to form a group and ever since then they have took the

world by storm. Their incredible success has been unbelievable and has transformed

their lives tremendously.

Already having two successful records, books, merchandise and even a

fragrance, the boys of One Direction have recently debuted their latest venture; 1D in

3D. The 3D documentary titled “One Direction: This Is Us”, takes us inside their

personal lives on and off the stage. The movie shows us where the boys grew up and

and what life was like for them before becoming members of the most recognizable boy

band in the world. Directed by Morgan Spurlock, he does a seamless job showcasing

actual concert footage a long with up close and personal interviews and clips of the

boys.

Earning around 8.9 million on the Friday released, I would say that the

documentary was a hit among the tween crowd as well as college seniors.
