(Gainesville, Ga.) On Sunday, February 2nd, 2014, the Denver Broncos and the Seattle Seahawks faced each other to what is called Super Bowl XLVIII. Most people assumed that the game would be close because the Seahawks have a strong defense and the Broncos have a strong offense. The final score was 43-8 with the Seahawks running away with the game.
The game was not off to a good start for the Broncos starting from the very first play. It was said that the stadium and fans were so loud that Peyton Manning did not hear his offensive line say they were ready and the ball was thrown behind Manning. The first quarter of the game, the Seahawks were up 8-0. The second quarter, they scored six more points to be up 22-0 at halftime. During the third quarter, the Broncos scored eight points, and the Seahawks scored 14 points, which made the score 36-8. In the fourth quarter, the Seahawks scored seven more points.
Even though Peyton Manning did not have one of his better games, he still maintained his composure. People were critical of the Broncos, but not much was said about Manning himself.
