Super Bowl MVP interrupted by stranger calling for 9/11 investigation

(Gainesville, Ga.) Following the Seattle Seahawks’ Super Bowl win, MVP Malcolm Smith took part in his postgame press conference. While speaking, he was rudely interrupted by a strange man. For events known for tight security, apparently it was not tight enough.

The unidentified man took the microphone from the Seahawks linebacker and told the audience to “Investigate 9/11”. He claimed 9/11 was “perpetrated by people in our own government.”

While Malcolm Smith seemed surprised and confused by the interruption, he put the distraction behind him and moved on with his interview.

As of 12:15 a.m. last Monday morning, the New York Post reported that 30-year-old Matthew Mills was in a New Jersey jail. Mills confessed that he was able to get into the press conference by “using a credential from a festival he once attended […] it was that simple.”
