Starring John Cho and Scottish actress Karen Gillan, ABC’s “Selfie” takes the classic tale of “Pygmalion” and “My Fair Lady” and modernizes it with social media. Gillan plays Eliza Dooley, a woman so driven to become popular on the Internet that she ends up isolating herself from any genuine friendships. With the help of Henry Higenbottam (Cho), Dooley plans to recreate her online persona, and maybe learn to live life away from the Internet, too. “Selfie” debuts Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 8 p.m.

Building off the success of “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Scandal”, Shonda Rhimes’ newest series, “How to Get Away With Murder”, stars the Oscar nominated actress Viola Davis as a law school professor with a much sought after law firm. When her students find themselves in the middle of their own crime, they rely on her teachings to cover their tracks. “How to Get Away With Murder” debuts on ABC, Thursday, Sep. 25 at 10 p.m.

Perhaps to combat the popularity of Marvel Comics movie adaptations, two series set in the DC Comics universe are premiering this fall. Set in Batman’s famed city, “Gotham” tells the story of police commissioner Jim Gordon, starring “The OC” alum Ben McKenzie. The series begins with an investigation of the murder of young Bruce Wayne’s parents. Gordon soon discovers just how twisted the crime in his city can be. Viewers can expect appearances from famed DC Comics’ villains like Catwoman and the Riddler as well. “Gotham” debuts on Fox, Monday, Sep. 22 at 8 p.m.
