(Gainesville, Ga.)- Brenau University’s athletic department hosted its annual fall sports pep rally, this past Tuesday, September 2nd university’s first year hosting a ‘Midnight Madness’ themed pep rally that began at 10 p.m. and ended around midnight.
At the start of each academic school year, the Athletic Department hosts a pep rally to celebrate fall sports and get the students pumped for the upcoming seasons.
At this year’s event, there was plenty of food, fun and excitement available for everyone! Longstreet café catered the event, providing sausage biscuits and cinnamon rolls to hundreds of excited Brenau fans.
The event opened with introductions of each individual sports team followed by a blazing performance by the nationally ranked Brenau University competitive cheerleading team that got the crowd out of their seats and fired up!
Finally, there was a dance competition that called for crowd participation. The fans got out of their seats and joined the Brenau athletes on the floor in groups to dance and show their school spirit. At the end of the pep rally, the winning group was selected, the BU Basketball Team, with the runner-up Delta Delta Delta sorority.
The university’s first Annual Midnight Madness was a success in getting the entire school ready for fall sports!
