Alpha Chi Omega Switches It Up For Valentine’s Day

February 10, 2015 By Brenau Student Leave a Comment

(Gainesville, Ga.) – Every year, Alpha Chi Omega hosts its Valentine’s Day Breakfast at their house on Prior Street. Because of the new housing construction and the chapter’s current living situation in Guest House, Alpha Chi is hosting a Valentine’s Day Social in the evening instead.

The Alpha Chi Omega Valentine’s Day Social will be on Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. at their temporary house, also known as Guest House.

A variety of activities will be available to attendees including corn hole and Dance Central. Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.

This annual get together is held in honor of not only the day of love but domestic violence awareness as well.

Additionally, Alpha Chi Omega is focusing on Healthy Relationships for their social. Members of the chapter are encouraging students and social attendees to participate in the Love is… Campaign. To participate, take a picture of yourself with a sign that says, “Love is _______,” which will include your personal definition of love.

Alpha Chi’s pink pancakes may be your personal definition of love but they will unfortunately be missed this year. Regardless, the social will be a good time!

Be sure to come by the Alpha Chi Omega house (Guest House) on Feb. 12 at 7 p.m.

**Leading up to the social, look out for A Chi O in Yonah Lobby during dinner on Feb. 10; you will have the opportunity to participate in a domestic violence awareness activity.
