5 Ways You Know You Go to Brenau

October 20, 2015 By Brenau Student 1 Comment

1.The Squirrels are fearless.

Anyone who goes to Brenau knows that the squirrels on campus are friendlier than most. You can often catch Brenau students chatting with these little furry friends and occasionally treating them to crumbs. That is probably why they are so accepting of our affection.

2. Everyone pushes the handicapped button.

Whether we want to admit it or not, we have all done it. At some point we all have had the overwhelming urge to push the automatic door button. If it’s because we have mountains of junk in our arms or the laziness of a college student, the button will always be pushed.

3.You call security for everything!

On campus, anytime you call security it’s not because you feel unsafe. If you’re locked out anywhere call security. If the RA on call doesn’t answer call security. If you need an escort from one side of campus to another late at night call security. Basically, security is our saving grace.

4. DO NOT split the pole!

Friendships at Brenau are sacred. As tradition has it, Coggins’ pole, located in sorority circle, can make or break a friendship. The tradition says to remain friends you and your colleagues must walk on the same side of the pole whenever you all are walking through sorority circle. If you split the pole your friendship is doomed!

5. Ms.Debbie has an awkward photo of you.

Ms.Debbie is the queen of taking photos in the moment at campus events. She’s always looking for a picture to save a special moment. With her camera in hand, she takes pictures of everything. Whether it is flattering or not, she has at least one photo of every student on campus.
