Brenau University Golden Tigers On the Green

(Gainesville, GA.) The Brenau University Women’s Golf Team competed in the Golden Tiger Spring Invitational on March 21st and 22nd at the Chattahoochee Country Club in Gainesville, Georgia. The Golden Tigers were amongst seven other teams for the invitational, and their performance did not disappoint.

After finishing the first day in second place, below the University of North Georgia, the ladies put in great effort to keep a top spot for the second day of the competition. The final score, 344-338=682 put the Golden Tigers in third place for the overall tournament. Coming in just two strokes behind Loyola University.

The team’s success did not stop with their final score. Three team members finished in the top ten for the entire invitational. Olivia Davis finished 10th with a final score of 86-87=173, and Morgan Wood finished ninth overall making this her third career top ten finish. The celebration and excitement continued for the team as Junior, Sara-Jane Bowers, lead the team with an 80-79-159 finish placing third in the overall tournament.

Altogether, the Golden Tigers came in third place on their home green, and look forward to their upcoming Redhawk Spring Classic Tournament on March 4th and 5th.
