Brenau Greek Week 2016

November 15, 2016 By Brenau Student Leave a Comment

(Gainesville, Ga) 2016 Brenau Greek Week was  held from Oct. 31 through Nov. 4. Sororities on the campus of the Women’s College gathered together everyday to compete for the Greek Week plaque. The week was full of fun games and activities. Zeta Tau Alpha brought home the plaque by earning the most points throughout the week.

The first day, Phi Mu brought home a victory from the scarecrow competition. The second day multiple chapters took home victories from the Greek Olympics. Several sororities brought home victories as they competed in three-legged races, sack races, relay races and tug of war.

Things heated up, on Wednesday as the sororities gathered at Buffalo Wild Wings in Gainesville. All proceeds benefited the Boys and Girls Club of Hall County, and one representative from each sorority competed in the “Blazing Wing Challenge”. The stakes were high but exciting as Delta Delta Delta member, Sarah Feye, ate all but one of her spicy wings.

The final two days were fun as all points were awarded. The Greek Fall Festival took place on Sorority Circle and included s’mores, crafts and music. The Greek Gala was finale ending for the week. Sorority members gathered at the Junior League Lodge to hear the Greek Week winners announced.

Alpha Delta Pi’s Cassidy Collier won Greek Goddess by answering the most questions about Brenau Greek life correctly. Zeta Tau Alpha brought home the plaque for winning Greek Week.
