I Love Brenau Because…

November 15, 2016 By Brenau Student Leave a Comment

casey-qua“I love Brenau because they are my family away from home. Everyone from the professors, to the staff of Hopkins Dinning Hall, they are always there for you. Whether it is asking ‘how is your day is going?’ or, ‘how your dog is feeling?’ you can always rely on Brenau to comfort you. On Nov. 17, I realized why I went to Brenau, and fell in love with the university. I received a phone call from my mom explaining that my dad had a heart attack. Without any family members nearby, Brenau was always by my side. The university bought me a plane ticket, provided me with food, talked to family friends to help guide me back home to Savannah and most importantly they were my shoulder to cry on. When I was with my father in the hospital, Brenau didn’t stop there. The university was able to work with my professors on my missing school assignments, and the professors allowed me time and guidance while I was in the hospital. I’ve never felt more secure at Brenau and that is exactly why I love Brenau. In the future, I plan to keep playing soccer here as an undergrad and later attend graduate school for Physical Therapy, with the hopes of getting a Physical Therapy job in Boston.”
