If you are a sports fan, then you know that the NBA’s All Star Weekend happened on February 17th and the Daytona 500 happened on February 26th.
The NBA’s All Star Weekend is extremely important to sports fan because it gives fans an opportunity to watch our favorite players in an East Coast vs. West Coast game. The event takes place in New Orleans, Louisiana and opened the weekend with the Celebrity All Star Game. The players played a good game with the East winning with a score of 88-59.However, the main topic of conversation after the game was surrounding Donald Trump and Mark Cuban. Cuban wore the number 46 on his jersey, subtly implying that Trump is the 45th President and Cuban will be the 46th. Saturday, the NBA D-League All-Star was held and Quit Cook won the MVP award. On Sunday, the NBA held their main event, the All-Star Game, the 66th time the NBA has ever held the event.
If you happened to see the final lap of the Daytona 500 on Sunday, February 26, then you might be in the same state of shock that I am still in. Kurt Busch managed to win his first Daytona 500 by pulling ahead in the final lap in the final few minutes of the race, and even lost his rear view mirror in the process. Busch had had a series of difficulties in the race; in the beginning of the race, Busch damaged his car in a wreck and held it together with tape. Luckily, Busch was able to push ahead to the front and when other drivers were sputtering due to low fuel, Busch pushed to take the lead. Because Busch finished first, his car will stay at the stadium for up to a year before the next Daytona 500 race.
